Chrome doesn’t allow you to install extensions from outside chrome web store. In this guide, we will be learning how to install chrome extensions that are not available at chrome webstore.
Google chrome is the leading web browser of 2014 that provides fast and secure web browsing experience to its users. Google also provides you a number of extensions that you can install in your browser. If you are a developer, webmaster or blogger then you might have already installed some extensions in your browser.
There are a number of useful chrome extensions that are available free at chrome web store. Some third party websites also offer you free extensions for Google chrome. But now Google doesn’t allow you to install any extension that is not from Chrome store. Previously we were able to install any extension with .crx format in chrome browser but now Google restricted installation of extensions from other websites. Chromeextenison.org is one of the best site that offers free extensions for Google chrome. Recently I was installing an extension form that website but chrome didn’t allowed me to do that. It gave me the following error:
Apps, Extensions and User Scripts cannot be added from this website.
I searched for the solution and found a quick trick to install any chrome extension not from chrome store. I found that working perfectly and you can also try it by following the steps mentioned below.
